California’s ‘Cool Air Rebate Salute’ program covers A/C repair costs for eligible veterans, active duty and families of service members.
Veterans and active-duty service members trying to keep cool while driving in the California heat can find relief under the state’s expanded “Cool Air Rebate Salute” program. Those who couldn’t afford the repair bill to fix a broken air conditioning system in their car are applying to the program, and if eligible, are seeing 95% of the cost covered, up to $1,500. That’s up from 90% coverage available to all eligible Californians for the past two years.
